Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026.
About this policy
United Strongman Federation (USF, we, us) uses personal information to operate unitedstrongman.com, manage memberships, support athletes and guardians, and process payments. This policy describes those activities. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@unitedstrongman.com.
Information we collect
Account and athlete information includes your name, email address, date of birth, phone number if provided, member number, account identifiers, and membership status and dates. For teen memberships, we also record the relationship between the athlete and the parent or guardian managing the account.
We keep records of membership purchases, agreement versions and acceptance, renewal choices, payment amounts, payment-provider identifiers, refunds, and disputes. We also receive information you provide when contacting support.
Our hosting, authentication, and payment services process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, and security or error logs. This information helps operate and protect the service.
Payments
Stripe processes payments and manages saved payment methods. Card details entered into Stripe Checkout or its billing portal are handled by Stripe; our membership application does not store full card numbers or card security codes. We receive payment status and transaction references needed to administer memberships, renewals, refunds, and disputes. Stripe also processes information under its own privacy notice.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; verify age-based membership eligibility; connect guardians with teen profiles; record agreement acceptance; process purchases and renewals; show membership status; respond to support requests; and investigate payment or account problems.
We also use relevant records to prevent fraud and misuse, maintain reliable services, meet applicable legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims. Account, verification, security, and membership messages are part of operating the service.
Who receives information
Authorized USF personnel can access information needed for membership administration and support. We use service providers to operate the website and membership system, including Supabase for authentication and membership data, Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery, Vercel for hosting, and Sanity for website content. Providers receive information relevant to the services they perform; athlete profiles and payment records are not website content in Sanity.
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect people or the service, or respond to a legal claim. This policy does not make account details or guardian-managed teen profiles a public directory.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses cookies and similar storage for sign-in, account sessions, security, and requested functionality. Stripe may use its own cookies and technologies when you use payment services. Blocking required cookies can prevent sign-in or checkout from working. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Third-party sites reached through links have their own privacy practices.
Teen athletes and guardians
Teen memberships are for athletes aged 13–17 and must be managed and purchased by a parent or legal guardian. The guardian provides the athlete’s information and accepts the membership agreement on their behalf. Membership is not offered to children under 13. Please do not submit an under-13 child’s information through membership forms.
If you believe we have received information about a child under 13, contact support@unitedstrongman.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action. When a teen turns 18, their paid membership term remains valid; contact support for assistance with account responsibility and the next adult membership purchase.
Retention and security
We retain account and membership information as needed to provide the service and administer paid membership periods. Transaction, agreement, refund, dispute, security, and related records may need to be retained after an account closes for accounting, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or resolving claims. A request to delete an account does not necessarily require deletion of every transaction or audit record.
We use access controls and other safeguards to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your sign-in credentials and contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your choices and requests
Contact support@unitedstrongman.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about other privacy rights available where you live. We may need to verify your identity and, for a teen profile, your authority to act for the athlete. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and explain any relevant limitations.
Some profile information can be updated in your account. Birth-date corrections after checkout require support review. Deleting information needed to administer a membership may affect our ability to provide it; we will discuss this with you when handling the request.
Where information is processed
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws can differ between locations. Contact support if you have questions about where your information is handled.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our services or information practices change. We will identify the updated policy date and provide additional notice when required by applicable law. For questions, contact support@unitedstrongman.com.
